When Benji and Giulietta were younger, they had the opportunity to attend several different summer camps, each offering meaningful experiences that supported their growth and confidence. These camps became important spaces where they could explore new activities and feel included alongside their peers.

Camp Green Acres stood out as a particularly positive experience, especially for Giulietta. She loved spending her days outdoors and moving through a variety of activities that kept her engaged and excited. She participated in sports such as soccer and basketball, joined music sessions, and even had the chance to try archery. The structured yet fun environment allowed her to explore her interests while staying active throughout the day.

Camp Green Acres was also a valuable setting for Giulietta to practice her communication skills. With supportive staff, new friends, and predictable routines, she had many natural opportunities to use her iPad to ask for help, make choices, and interact with others. Being surrounded by encouragement helped her feel confident and capable.

Benji and Giulietta also attended an inclusion-focused camp run by one of their support workers, Jesse. This program was thoughtfully tailored to meet their individual needs while keeping activities fun and accessible. At Jesse’s camp, they worked on adaptive biking, played modified gym games, and participated in outdoor sports designed so they could fully take part. These experiences gave them the chance to try new things, build physical skills, and enjoy time with others in a welcoming environment.
